This land was surveyed for Roger Abernathy 4 November 1724 by Robert Bolling*

&thence along the same South fifteen degrees East one hundred and seventy nine poles to his Corner Shrub White Oak thence South twenty five degrees West seventy and a half poles to a hickory Saplin thence West ten degrees North forty eight poles to Mark Harrowell’s Corner Red Oak thence West thirty six degrees North ninety poles to his Corner Shrub Black Oak thence North seventeen degrees West one hundred and six poles to a Corner thence East seventeen degrees North one hundred and forty four poles to Stith Bolling’s line in a meadow the Beginning. With all _ _ to have hold or to be held and yielding and paying as provided in Witness whereof our trusty and well loved William Gooch Esq. our Lieut. Governor and Commander in Chief of our said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburg under the Seal of our said Colony this thirteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and twenty seen in the first year of our Reign.
