Will of Robert Abernathy

I will and bequeath unto my two daughters now living with me, Perlina Abernathy and Liza Angeline Abernethy my tract of land I live on containing one hundred and ninety three acres more or less to be divided equally between them my said above named two daughters after my death. I also will and bequeath to my said daughter Perlina my negro woman Nancy and her increase forever I also will and bequeath to my daughter Liza Angeline my negro girl Mary and her increase forever. I also will to my said named daughters Perlina and Liza Angeline all my stock after my death - horses, mules, cattle, hogs, and sheep wagon buggy and all my farming tools all my household and kitchen furniture, clock all my grain mean salt cotton, cupboard bureau tables chairs books, all my beds and bedding trunks chests
I also will them my negro man Hiram to work for them
I will and bequeath to my bodily children, hereafter named, Mira, my daughter, wife of Isaac Ward, Susey, my daughter, wife of Wila Gibbs, my sons, Hiram, David Mills, Rufus, and John Wesley and my daughters, Ellis wife of Asbery Edwards and Letty, wife of Rufus Bandy and Abigail, wife of Herbert Edwards each one ten dollars to be paid by my Executor who I will Appoint on the other side.
I hereby nominate and appoint my Trust friend and son in law Rufus Bandy my lawful Executor he to collect my debts and pay all my just debts and the balance if any I will bequeath to be equally divided among my last named children viz: Mira, Susa, Hiram, David Mills, Rufus, John Wesley, Elliss, Letty and Abigail share and share alike. I also will to my two daughters, Perlina and Liza Angaline my smithin tools.
Whereunto I Robert Abernathy set my hand and seal this 16th day of May A. D. 1861 Robert Abernathy

The foregoing Will and Testament of Robert Abernathy was this the 14th day of May 1872 duly proved and admitted to probate upon the oath and examination of J. J. Shuford subscribing witness thereto and the other witness Martin Linebarger being dead his signature and hand writing duly proved by the oath of J. J. Shuford.
