Miles Abernathy

In the name of God, Amen, I Miles Abernathy of the State of North Carolina and county of Catawba considering the uncertainty of this mortal life being of a sound and perfect disposing mind and memory blessed be Almight God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following. I give unto my son St O Abernathy all my lands and plantation lying on Mountain Creek in the county and state afforesaid. Next. I give unto my four daughters namely Sarah Polly Patsey & Eliza all my beding and clothing and the balance of my property is to be sold and the money to be divided between my eight sons and daughters equally. I do hereby Appoint A. J. Whitener and Philip Whisenhunt of this my last well and testament to be my Executors of this my last will and testament. Witness wereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of May 1868. Miles Abernathy  (Seal)
