Susannah Tillman

Recorded 12 March 1716/17

In the name of God Amen The Last Will and Testament of Susannah Tillman aged Sixty Nine years or there abouts who is now weak in Body but of a Sound and perfect memory Praised be the Lord for it, I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills as verbal or written and make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followed.
Imprimis I Bequeath my Soul to Almighty God and my Body to be Interred according to the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named after Would Should think fitt and as for my Estate and Goods and Cattels I give and Bequeath in manner and form as followeth.
Item I give unto my Son Thomas Parham one iron [__] and one iron pott each.
Item I give unto my Son George Tillman 2 Shillings.
Item I give unto my Son John Tillman one feather bed and Bolster and one yarn [Sc__] rugg and one Cotton [Sh__].
Item I give unto my Daughter Jane Robinson 2 Shillings.
Item I give unto my Daughter Christian Abbernthy all my wearing cloathes both Lustring & Woolen and Cotton Cloakes and one Iron pott of Eight or Nine Gallons and pot hooks.
Item I give unto my Grandaughter Mary Bethell one yearling heifer she to be possess with it at the age of Sixteen or married.
Item I give unto my Grandson Robert Abernathy all the remainder of my Estate both within and without as Goods and Cattels, whom I make my whole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament as Witness my had and Seal this Ninteen Day of November Anno Dom. - 1716 -
Item my Desire is that my Estate shall not be brought to an Appraisement.

At the Court held for Prince George County on the Second Tuesday in March being the twelfth Day of the month Anno Dom.: 1716

The above written Last Will and Testament of Susanna Tillman Decd. was Exhibited in Court by Robert Abernathy Junr the Executor therein named who made Oath thereto, and it being proved by the Oaths of Benjamin Blicke and William Gent, two of the Witnesses thereto is by Order of the Court Truly recorded and a Certificate is granted to the Sd. Executor for Obtaining a Probate in Due form.
